Australia is a country that is as diverse as it is beautiful. There is a plenty of things to see in Australia from the Ochre-red outback around Uluru to the frosty summit of Cradle Mountain, and the white sands of the Whitsunday islands to the pink lakes of Western Australia. I am herewith sharing with you some of the most beautiful places in Australia, which offers a plenty of things to do and see.
Uluru:
This iconic place is located in the middle of the country. The rock which is considered as the spiritual heart of the continent is actually a sandstone monolith that rises out of the landscape near the Alice Springs in Central Australia. Tourists to Australia do flock here to have a glimpse of this wonder.
Sydney Harbor
This waterway is actually the highlight of Australia’s largest city. You can climb the Sydney harbor bridge to admire the sails of the Sydney Opera house and then stroll through the leafy botanic gardens to reach Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair, a vantage point that provides the postcard perfect view of Sydney Harbour.
Great Barrier Reef
Some of the best scenery of Australia is found underwater in case of the Great Barrier Reef. The world’s largest coral reef system spans 2300 Kms. It is a paradise for tourists who are keen to snorkel, sail and swim in paradise.
Daintree Rain forest
Long term human inhabitancy has accumulated a unique collection of faunal, floral and panoramic images to showcase a wealth of defining Daintree Rain forest attributes. High quality guided walking tours showcase unique biological diversity and exceptional rain forest integrity. It is a region located on the north-east coast of Queensland, Australia. Lord Howe Island
Lord Howe Island is situated 600 Kms east of the mainland. It boasts of forests, peaks, beaches, bird life and snorkeling spots that are utterly exotic when compare to the rest of the country. The Island is home to sea bird colonies including masked boobies. There are excellent diving sites surrounding the nearby Admiralty Islands. In the South of the Islands you may find Mount Gower with sweeping views, while in north you may come across Ned’s Beach, which is known for Fish and coral rich waters. It has been voted as top ten Island destinations for tourists.
Whitsunday Islands
In the middle of the Great Barrier Reef sits 74 tropical islands that are every bit alluring. The Whitsundays are covered in lush national park, fringed by soft white sand beaches and surrounded by serene water, colorful coral and tropical fish. Most of these Islands are uninhabited and provide excellent hiking trails. The town of Arlie Beach on the mainland is the region’s central hub. There is a diverse fleet of crewed and skippered sailing craft, which take individuals, couples or groups on trips around the coast and islands for a period of around three to six days.
The Kimberley
The remote corner in the north of Western Australia is a vast expanse of jaw-dropping outback scenery, including the beehive-like Bungle Bungle range, the tranquil Ord River, the freakish Horizontal falls, the Epic Gibb River Road, the gushing Mitchell falls and King George Falls. There are large swaths of wilderness defined by rugged ranges, dramatic gorges, semi-arid savanna and an isolated coastline. Kimberly is one of the world’s most precious wilderness regions. It is also known for great food, luxury accommodation, and friendly locals and one of the most romantic beach towns on earth. You can stay at El Questro Wilderness Park, Swim at freshwater outback waterhole and take a helicopter ride over a majestic gorge.
Fleurieu Peninsula
This windswept patch of South Australia, south east of Adelaide contains a string of beautiful vistas, including beach towns like Port Elliot and Victor Harbor, nature reserves such as the Coorong and Deep Creek Conservation Park, and Vineyards at Langhorne Creek and Mc Laren Vale. You can spot whales, seals and dolphins in Encounter Bay near the town of Victor Harbor. This is beautiful place for relaxing and spending some beautiful moments. Tourists flock to this place for its beauty and charm.
Cradle Mountain
The state of Tasmania enjoys some of the country’s most beautiful bush walking terrain, including the pristine forest of the Cradle Mountain and St Clair National Park. The best view of the craggy Cradle Mountain – besides from the summit can be seen while around the serene blue waters of Dove Lake. This is surely one of the principle tourist sites in the state. Cradle valley and the surrounding areas contain many Aboriginal living areas or sites. The area is rich in Flora and Fauna. The area around the mountain has a number of day walks and is a good place for trekkers.
Hyams Beach
Hyams Beach is blessed with the brightest and whitest sand in the world. It attracts plenty of visitors to this sunny segment of the New South Wales South Coast. It is situated in the city of Shoalhaven, New South Wales, Australia. The beach is famous for turquoise/ aqua colored waters and fine squeaky brilliantly white sandthat is composed of pure quartz. The village is a three hour drive from Sydney and accessed via prince motorway from Sydney CBD or Hume Motorway from Greater Western Sydney. It is a very favorite hangout for tourists to Australia.
Lake Hilier
This lake looks like swath of pink bubblegum pink from a distance. It is a Saline lake on the edge of Middle Island, the largest of Islands that make up Recherché Archipelago in the Goldfields-Esperance region off the south coast of Western Australia. The lake attributes its color to the Micro-Algae found in the water. The lake has a protected area tag and is obviously a sought after venue for the incoming tourists to the country. The lake is surrounded by a rim of sand and a dense wood of paper bark and eucalyptus trees. It is a very ideal spot to spend some memorable time.
